Shameless Self Promotion and A Good Stroking
This came in from Lee-Ann Ferguson [of Command Decisions Wargame Center/ ScenarioSupply.com/ Tactical Diversions and whatever other enterprise they have going] and was too cute and shamefully self promoting not put up on the blog. Lee-Ann (and oh yeah, Ferg) puts on some great games, loves to play and is a real sweetheart (Lee-Ann, not necessarily Ferg!)
“Oh dear lord Paul - I just finished reading your article in PB2X on Khe Sahn. I seriously needed that laugh! What a fantastic job and we appreciate it SOOOO much. Thank you for putting the time and effort into writing that. I’m not sure if the field being now known as “meat grinder hills” will draw or detract but I don’t care, that was just so much fun to read.
On a side note - I’ve heard you sing [at Vietnam Heat in Wolf Creek] and yes, it was your own guys shooting you to quiet you down.
And secondly, what is up with it always raining at the games you guys attend? There is no way I’m ever taking you golfing! Lol.
You are good for us Paul - we are glad you are a part of our games, we love having you there. You have a wonderful spirit for the sport and I am eagerly looking forward to our next adventure in scenario together. Yes - you can put this on the website, you deserve a public ego stroking!”

Lee-Ann, thanks for the kind words, okay, maybe not about the singing, but I really appreciate it. You guys put on a great scenario and I recommend that everyone that is going to play, get signed up NOW for Fulda Gap and the Platoon Leader Mil-Sim Invitational (Nov. 7-9th). Registration is limited and every major team, player, tank crew (and wannabe) are already signing up to make sure they get on the side they want and able to get into their preferred regiment. Registration opened up in June and July and there are no guarantees about getting in if you don’t get a hustle on.
Fulda Gap - Nov 8-9
Fulda Gap is now one of the largest scenario events in the southeast and you haven’t lived until you dragged your half dead carcass over a straight-up hill only to face off against a line of full-sized tanks and 300-400 heavily armed troops bearing down on your position. (I think I just threw up in my mouth… Again.) For all the full throttle strategy and action junkies out there, this is the event of the year in the Carolinas. You can choose (a preference) between the Warsaw Pact and Nato forces and then a preferred division. You can also choose a one day Fulda Gap pass as well as the combined price discount, and save even more if you are registering a team of ten for the combined package.
The Platoon Leader Mil-Sim Invitational - Nov 7
The Mil-Sim event on Friday, Nov. 7th is limited to only 200 players (that’s 100 on each side for you math wizards!) and is drawing players from out-of-state to simulate real military conditions, supply chain and chain of command situations. If you are into hard core mil-sim, this is one event you won’t want to miss. Command Decisions has opened up special combined pricing for BOTH events so there is no reason you can’t make this outstanding three day (and night) event.
Contact Lee-Ann or Ferg at info@scenariosupply.com or (828) 320-5238 if you have questions or need more information and go to www.ScenarioSupply.com to register for either event. I will see you out there and for all of you who haven”t registered yet, “Warsaw Rules!”
