Generation Kill is GO!
This March 6th, 2010, Team: Tango Alpha2 and Command Decisions Wargames Center will co-produce “Generation Kill: A Bad Afternoon in Afghanistan” (www.GenKillPaintball.com) at CDWC’s Taylorsville, NC field. 2009’s “Generation Kill: A Bad Day in Baghdad” broke new ground by pitting mil-sim Marines against Big Game Feyadeen. In 2010, everyone will play by Big Game rules, BUT this time, there will be 3 ARMIES, and a fourth wild-card group of Afghani civilians who can be supporters, informants or suicide bombers. Any of the three armies can make temporary alliances with any of the others (though why you would want to deal with a terrorist is beyond me!). To make matters even more interesting, all three armies will have to deal with Murphy’s Law screwing up their well-laid plans.
On March 6, 2010, The Marines First Recon Unit will be taking on the Taliban and al Qaeda in Afghanistan (well, in Hickory actually). If that weren’t bad enough, the Pashtun Mafia is pissed that the Taliban has prohibited the production of opium/heroin, which Afghanistan is the biggest producer of in the world, cutting their profits by 90%. The Pashtun also want the US and their War on Drugs out of their country, but being creative little mercenaries, will make deals with either side to form temporary alliances to come out on top. The Marines want Osama, the Taliban want Afghanistan, the Pashtun want their drug business back, and the Afghani citizenry just wants to be left alone. They are willing to make deals to help, support or hinder whichever side they think will win.
The reason there haven’t been any articles lately (sorry) is that the Team and I have been focused 100% on developing Generation Kill. In 2009, we had 250+ players and in 2010, we hope to increase that number. To see photos of of the Bad Day in Baghdad game, go to… http://www.genkillpaintball.com We think we finally have it all set (of course there will be changes you silly monkey!) but we think you will really enjoy what have come up with. We realized that the economy is down, so we tried to make it easy to save money and lower the price (sorry no free patches this year!). We focused on how we could condense the action, minimize off field time, and just make it more fun. See what you think… Read more
