Paintball Central Matthews Revisited
Almost a year ago exactly, I wrote a review of Paintball Central’s store in Pineville, NC. One major issue I had in the review was the customer service attitude behind the counter. It seemed to be “this-is-just-a-part-time-gig, how-can-I-can-get-you-out-of-my-face-as-quick-as-possible-so-I-can-talk-to-my-girlfriend-on-the-phone“. Then the phone call came. To me. And it wasn’t a girlfriend. One of the head marketing guys from PBC’s home office in Raleigh.
Ruht-ro! I figured I was in for a “good talking to” for the review. Duck and cover, I am about to be under fire!

If you ever picked up a paintball magazine, the odds are pretty damned good you have read an article by Jason “foolybear” Lineberger (especially before PB2X, Paintball.com and various other industry magazines went tango uniform [tits up] last year). One of the more prolific writers in the sport, Foolybear is published almost every month, writes Splat Magazine’s Strictly Scenario blog, and usually has multiple feature articles in a given month. Add that to teaching English literature in western Carolina, raising a family and occasionally playing paintball, you have to admire him if nothing else for his time management skills. He doesn’t suck at paintball either. His exposure and skills have led to various national sponsorships for Jason, the latest being Planet Eclipse. Read more

No commentsWe’ll Be Bahck!
One of the most enjoyable scenarios I have ever played was hosted this Feb. 7th at Adventure Beach Paintball in Tabor City, NC. “Skynet: Armageddon” is the first of a three part series of events based on the Arnold Schwarzenegger movie franchise. The battle places the human resistance against the uprise of the Machines and computer A.I. (Skynet).
This April 25th, Adventure Beach Paintball continues the series with “Skynet: Burning Chrome.”
